We are looking to fill in two (2) Senior IM Programs Analyst vacancies.
Reporting to the IM Programs Manager, the Senior IM Program Analyst supports delivery of information management services and projects to our client ministries. This is not an IT job!
Managing information requires a strong focus on how content is structured, governed, accessed, and protected. While we operate in a technology and digital environment, this role emphasizes effective organization and management of content through the application of IM requirements and best practices to support compliance, appropriate information sharing, and minimize risk, rather than on system administration or technical infrastructure.
As part of a centralized service, as a Senior IM Analyst you will play a key role in supporting clients to manage their information in alignment with established IMT policy instruments and will interface directly with clients at all levels of the organization. You will also be expected to recommend strategies and approaches to further enhance the optimized delivery of the IM program.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- In-depth consultations with clients to assess business and related process changes with respect to their IM requirements.
- Coaching and supporting department/program staff in the use of available tools, processes, and policy instruments, to ensure the effective and compliant management of their information assets.
- Use AI to improve efficiency and insights and personalize stakeholder engagement
- Delivering training sessions using AI-assisted content generation to address specific business challenges.
- Coordinating the activities of various teams that support the continued development, implementation, and enhancement of IM solutions offered to the departments.
- Working directly on large scale, strategic information management projects that impact the GoA as a whole.
- Working on supporting the adoption of M365 (including SharePoint Online) as the Government’s chosen information management solution.
- Leverage AI to address complex problems and automate research and analysis of extensive content sources.
- Leading reviews and risk assessments associated with technology development projects, ensuring that IM risks are identified and appropriately mitigated.
Other duties include:
- Support the GoA IM program.
- Support the IM Programs Manager and Directors in achieving the mandate and goals of the IM Programs unit.
- Support organizational change throughout the GoA by providing sound project management practices, consultation, coaching, and coordination of services related to the implementation of IM technologies.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- A university degree in Records, Information, Library and Archival Studies or Digital Humanities, or a related field supplemented with four (4) years of related progressively responsible experience.
- Intermediate competency with M365 suite.
- A cover letter clearly demonstrating relevant skills and competencies tailored to this position.
Equivalencies:
- A related master’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience; or
- A related bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four (4) years of related experience; or
- A related two-year diploma and a minimum of six (6) years of related experience; or
- A related one-year certificate and a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience; or
- A minimum of eight (8) years of related experience in lieu of formal education.
Assets:
- Professional designation in Certified Records Manager (CRM), Certified Information Professional (CIP), Certified Records Analyst (CRA), Information Governance Professional (IGP).
