The Governance, Policy, and Engagement Division provides strategic leadership and oversight for regulatory functions, stakeholder engagement, and program governance. The division works across the ministry to ensure policies, licensing processes, and governance frameworks are administered consistently, transparently, and in alignment with legislative and public interest requirements.

Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Land Agents Licensing, the Land Agents Licensing Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for licensing processes under the Land Agents Licensing Act. This position plays a key role in reviewing applications, coordinating licensing examinations, maintaining records and financial processes, and responding to inquiries from land agents, applicants, and the public.
The Land Agents Licensing Coordinator plays a key role in administering licensing processes that directly support the protection of landowners and the public interest. Reporting to the Manager, Land Agents Licensing, the position oversees application workflows, evaluates submissions, coordinates stakeholder inquiries, and ensures regulatory requirements are consistently upheld.
This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a high impact regulatory program while working in a collaborative, service oriented environment.
The responsibilities for the role are listed as below:
- Administers licensing processes by reviewing applications, verifying documentation, and navigating complex payment and database systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Evaluates forms, honoraria, and expense claims, identifying inconsistencies and following up with applicants or stakeholders when required.
- Responds to stakeholder inquiries and provides clear guidance to support positive internal and external relationships.
- Coordinates the flow of information across the program to ensure individuals and groups receive timely and accurate updates.
- Maintains records and documentation in accordance with regulatory, administrative, and organizational requirements.
- Identifies opportunities to improve administrative processes and contributes ideas that support program efficiency.
- Supports problem‑solving by working through complex system issues and evaluating application‑related information.
- Builds collaborative relationships with stakeholders, ensuring communication remains professional, respectful, and consistent.

Qualifications
High school diploma and elated administrative or program support experience.
Equivalency: Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of:
- one year of experience for one year of education or
- one year of education for one year of experience.
Assets:
- Knowledge of Government of Alberta administrative policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with legislation, policies, and regulatory processes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks and work independently.
- Strong customer service skills when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and administrative systems.
- Experience with SharePoint and database systems is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of SPIN2 or internal payment systems is an asset.
