- Identifying intelligence gaps, investigative challenges, relationships between information sources, and opportunities to strengthen investigative strategies.
- Providing statistical summaries, explanations, guidance, and subject matter expertise to support management and operational decision-making.
- Liaising with internal CIU teams, CPAO stakeholders, external partners, and enforcement agencies to coordinate intelligence sharing and analytical support.
- Protecting the privacy of individuals by ensuring work is conducted in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

- Building effective relationships with law enforcement partners, government representatives, regulatory stakeholders, and other jurisdictions to support the Ministry’s mandate and enhance CIU operations.
Role Responsibilities (contd.)
What you'll bring to the role:
- Sound judgment and discretion to manage complex, sensitive, and politically significant information that may affect the Ministry, regulated parties, stakeholders, and the public.
- Strong communication skills to prepare clear intelligence products, explain complex findings, and support diverse audiences with accurate and timely information.
- Relationship-building skills to establish trust with management, investigators, external counterparts, and stakeholders in settings that may involve challenging or adversarial interactions.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex information, assess emerging issues, and develop practical solutions where precedent or ready-made approaches may not exist.
- Adaptability and resilience to respond to competing priorities, short timelines, changing marketplace trends, and province-wide operational needs.
