Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director, the Manager of Cloud and Integration Services leads the strategic governance, vendor management, and oversight for the organization’s enterprise integration, Saas and cloud service platforms.
The Manager ensures compliance with infrastructure, privacy, and security standards, facilitating seamless on premises, hybrid or cloud-based solutions that support health services delivery. This role will collaborate closely with managers and technical teams to plan and coordinate systems integrations and changes across the department to ensure value when integrating with solution providers.
This position will be responsible for the following duties:
• Manages staff in the Cloud and Integration Services team. Ensures the technical and personal development of the staff with a focus on emerging technology and industry best practices.
• Coaches team members for performance, plans training, and motivates the team to ensure excellent levels of effectiveness and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain a customer- and service-oriented spirit and approach within the team ensuring business objectives are reflected in team deliverables.
• Responsible for line management functions such as career development, coaching, performance evaluation, recognition, discipline, and other HR-related activities.
• Reviews existing integration solutions with an eye on modernization, innovation, and continuous improvement to provide additional business value for stakeholders.
• Leads the team to develop new technology standards and process specific to cloud and services integration.
• Develops standards for the selection of management and integration tools to be used with both on premise and cloud infrastructure.
• Manages the overall planning, coordination, prioritization, scheduling, and quality control of operational activities of the team.
• Collaborate within the Department (Managed Operations, Architecture, Application Development, Application Maintenance and Business Units), venders / service providers (Kyndryl, IBM, Service Alberta, Health Shared Services, Google. AWS etc.) and various infrastructure and operations groups to create and support an operational environment for new and existing IT services.
• Interact on a regular basis with management and stakeholders, applying effective leadership skills in managing expectations, mitigating risk and removal of any roadblocks.
• Report on status of projects, activities, and operations under area of responsibility, proactively addressing problems, and escalating as appropriate to the Director, Production Management.
• Develop procedures, and propose and implement new tools, for the continual improvement of the efficiency and quality of services.
• Facilitate the development of all related reports and documents including Knowledge Management, Incident and Problem Reporting, Service Desk Call Flows, Service Performance and Availability Reporting, SLA Reporting to be comprehensive, accurate and delivered in a timely manner.

Qualifications
Requirements:
• University graduation in a related field plus 4 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.

Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of:
• 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
• 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
Assets:
• Experience in IT service development, implementation, operations, and service management.
• Experience in project management.
• Experience leadership and the ability to manage large volumes of information/detail and working with executive and senior management.
• Knowledge and understanding of all phases of systems development lifecycle management practices.
• Experience in assessing new opportunities and performing necessary due diligence around technical, operational, and financial impacts.
• Effective communications skills (written and oral) to collaborate effectively with colleagues and with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in IT professional with experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex systems and environments across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Organization and prioritization skills to balance multiple ongoing projects at one time and ability to meet tight timelines and cope with changing priorities.

This is a permanent position with regular working hours of 36.25 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
This position is based in Edmonton, Alberta.
