As the HR Business Partner for an assigned client portfolio, you will provide HR expertise to your clients by coordinating, advising and providing strategic direction on a variety of human resource functions. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, you will focus on workforce initiatives and people management, as well as supporting workforce related initiatives. To be effective in this role, you will have a proven track record of fostering and maintaining collaborative relationships with operational leaders, HR service partners, and Union representatives. You are adaptable, able to prioritize and multi-task in an environment that changes quickly. Success as an HRBP will require you to work through challenging employee/labour relations issues. You bring with you a strong understanding of employee relations, performance management, and interpretation of a collective agreement. You will also provide consultation on talent acquisition, job evaluation/organizational design, HR metrics and data, and organization effectiveness.
Qualifications
A post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related area supplemented with a minimum of two years of directly related Human Resources experience.
The following knowledge and experiences will be considered as assets;
• Experienced HRBP or HR Generalist in a multi-stakeholder, preferably unionized, environment with large employee volumes
• Employee/Labour Relations experience in a large private or government organization, including managing employee relations issues, interpreting collective bargaining agreements and employment legislation, and ensuring compliance with HR policies to promote fair employment practices
• Demonstratable knowledge and experience supporting HR programs and initiatives that enhance organizational performance and effectiveness. This includes conducting needs assessments, analyzing HR metrics and data.
Equivalencies will be accepted based on a related two-year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and a minimum of four years of directly related human resources experience; or a related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and a minimum of five years of directly related human resources experience.

Salary
$2,556.48 to $3,505.76 bi-weekly ($66,724 to $91,500/yearly)
Notes
Candidates may be considered at a lower classification and salary. This competition will be used to fill future vacancies at the HR2 and HR1 levels.
