As a Platform Services Analyst, you will provide application and platform development, maintenance, and enhancement support for complex systems within the Application Services portfolio (BERNIE & MS Dynamics Platform Services unit, BTO). Working within established government IT standards, policies, and best practices, you will contribute both independently and collaboratively to initiatives that strengthen and modernize critical platforms.
The systems you support are foundational to ministry operations — reliable, secure, and essential to program delivery across government.
Responsibilities:
Some of your responsibilities in this role includes but are not limited to:
- Provide technical consulting to team members and business clients.
- Lead small to medium-sized initiatives from design through implementation.
- Deliver full lifecycle support including system design, development, testing, enhancements, and client training.
- Support and upgrade enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow and MS Dynamics.
- Develop scalable, reusable, and pattern-based solutions aligned to business needs.
- Contribute to solution design, configuration, and platform innovation to ensure sustainable, high-performing services.

Qualifications
Required:
- University degree in a related field such as Computer Science or Information Technology
- Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting a broad range of enterprise technology.
- Experience supporting application infrastructure and/or software development environments.
- Strong analytical, planning, organizational, evaluation, and problem-solving skills.
- Broad understanding of technical environments and system integrations.
- Experience developing and maintaining both custom-built and COTS solutions.
- Experience in operational support, service delivery coordination, and change management.
Equivalencies: Equivalencies are considered:

- A related two-year diploma in related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution and four (4) years related experience; or
- A related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and five (5) years of related experience.
Assets:
- Experience with application design and change management procedures.
- Expertise in server setup, configuration, and patching of COTS products.
- Experience in developing and debugging code in C#, Java, MS SQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, Angular.Js, JBoss Seam, PrimeFaces, Struts, Visual Studio .Net, MSSQL, Oracle, .Net Framework, MVC, ASP.Net, Lotus Notes, PowerBuilder, Sybase, Shell Scripting
- Experience with Windows Server including security configuration, security configuration, IIS configuration, WebSphere configuration and IBM Cognos configuration.
- Experience with Collaboration Services: SharePoint and Content Services; OpenText, IBM Content Manager and other related services.
- Solid understanding of database principles, practice, design, configuration.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills - ability to present complex information in a clear and concise format.
- Strong organizational and time-priority management skills to effectively balance multiple priorities and demands.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- ServiceNow, MS Dynamics or NICE InContact certification or equivalent experience with similar tools

Term of Employment: Up to two permanent full-time positions.
Hours of Work: 36.25hrs/ week – Monday to Friday
Location: Remote across Alberta
