Role Responsibilities

We provide 24/7 support to adults with developmental disabilities across community homes. Our goal is to create safe, supportive, and empowering environments that focus on personal outcomes and quality of life. We are seeking a skilled Residential Support Supervisor to join our team and help lead, guide, and inspire our Home Coordinators and staff.

 

As a Residential Support Supervisor, you will provide leadership and oversight to ensure our homes operate effectively, while supporting Home Coordinators in delivering high-quality care. You will manage staff, financial resources, and operations while fostering partnerships with families, guardians, and community stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Lead, coach, and mentor Home Coordinators to ensure clear expectations, effective performance, and adherence to policies and best practices.
•    Oversee daily operations of community homes, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of residents.
•    Manage budgets, assets, and inventory for Residential Supports, providing recommendations for adjustments as needed.
•    Participate in organizational planning, committees, and operational initiatives to ensure alignment with Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD)Central goals.
•    Represent the organization professionally, fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and organizational policies, including Occupational Health & Safety, Protection of Persons in Care (PPIC) Act, and Supported Living Accommodation Standards.

Qualifications

Directly related two (2) year diploma or a degree related to the position assignment (Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Therapy, Community Rehabilitation & Disabilities Studies, Public Health, Social Work, Social Sciences, etc) and four (4) years of related experience.

Assets:
•    Diploma in Rehabilitation Services or equivalent post-secondary education, combined with 1 year of supervisory experience
•    Experience in staff supervision, human resources, and financial management
•    Strong communication, coaching, interpersonal, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills
•    Demonstrated analytical and planning skills to effectively organize and lead teams
•    Knowledge of strategic and business planning processes
