Michener Services provides person-centered care to individuals with disabilities in their homes and supports their participation in community life. Located in the City of Red Deer, these homes serve individuals with a wide range of medical, behavioral, and mobility needs. Supports include 24-hour supports with daily living, nursing consultation and assistance.

Role Responsibilities
Are you a highly organized, hands-on individual who takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly? As a Facility Support Worker, you will be the backbone of operational support at Michener, ensuring efficient transportation, reliable fleet coordination, accurate inventory management, and well-organized facility and store operations.
In this role, you will play a key part in enabling service delivery by managing day-to-day logistics, supporting maintenance activities, and ensuring that supplies, materials, and equipment are available where and when they are needed.
You will also work independently to resolve operational challenges, support transportation logistics, and maintain accurate records using various computer systems. Your attention to detail, safety-first mindset, and mechanical aptitude will directly contribute to safe, efficient, and well-functioning group homes and program locations.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking, ensuring accurate records and timely processing of supplies and materials
• Support transportation and fleet operations, including safe vehicle use, delivery of goods, and basic vehicle inspections
• Assist with facility operations, including setup, maintenance coordination, and support for relocations or space organization
• Handle asset and surplus management, including tracking, storage, transfer, and disposal of equipment and materials
• Resolve operational issues related to inventory, deliveries, and transportation in a timely and effective manner
• Maintain safety standards by following workplace procedures and identifying potential hazards
• Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient daily operations and service delivery

Qualifications
Minimum Recruitment Standard:
Some high school education and 6 months related experience.
Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education. Special Requirement: Physically able to perform heavy manual duties.
Assets
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
• Experience providing operational, facility, logistics, or inventory support.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain accurate records.
• Proficiency with computer applications and electronic tracking systems.
• Experience with shipping and receiving, fleet operations, asset management, or basic vehicle maintenance is considered an asset.

Hours of work: Full-time in office – Monday - Friday (38.75/week)
