Role Responsibilities

The Regional Administrative Support plays a key role in delivering comprehensive administrative, financial, and operational support to North Region programs within Parks Operations. Reporting to the Regional Controller, this position ensures the effective coordination of administrative processes across a diverse set of program areas. The role is responsible for accurate financial tracking and reporting, accounts payable processing, procurement card and expense claim review, personnel file administration, records and inventory management, and general office operations.

Working closely with the Regional Controller, Regional Director, and Operations Manager, the position supports the successful management of regional budgets by maintaining accurate expenditure and revenue information and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and audit requirements. The role provides frontline administrative guidance and training to permanent and seasonal staff, contributes to operational planning, and assists with IT, OHS, and asset management tasks.

The Regional Administrative Support must exercise sound judgment, work independently under tight timelines, and build strong working relationships with staff, vendors, contractors, and the public. The position directly impacts financial accuracy, staff payroll timelines, compliance with administrative requirements, and the effectiveness of regional service delivery.

Qualifications

High school diploma and three years of related experience such as finance, administration, accounting etc.

Equivalencies will be considered.

Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of: 
•    1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 
•    1 year of experience for 1 year education.

•    Experience with maintaining records, managing confidential information, and supporting HR or payroll activities.
•    Experience in records management practices and filing systems.
•    Experience providing administrative support in a fast-paced, multi-program environment.

•    Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

This position is a full-time permanent opportunity.

This position works Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM-4:30 PM, 36.25 hours a week.
