As the Ministry of Forestry and Parks we are responsible for fostering Alberta’s environmentally responsible forest management practices, including management of wildfires. We preserve our provincial parks for the recreation and enjoyment of Albertans. As well as enabling access to public lands for recreational and commercial purposes while prioritizing conservation. Role Responsibilities
Are you organized, detail-oriented, and energized by a fast-paced, service-focused environment? The Hinton Training Centre is looking for an Enrollments Coordinator to be the first point of contact for clients accessing our training programs. You’ll ensure smooth registration experiences, maintain key facility and course information, and help improve our operations to deliver top-quality training.
In this role, you’ll work closely with forest divisions, government agencies, academic institutions, non-profits, and emergency response teams. You’ll manage bookings, maintain databases, and support efficient registration processes, ensuring every participant experiences the professionalism and expertise the Centre is known for.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate training bookings and manage registration enquiries, ensuring a smooth participant experience.
- Researching and developing registration policies to improve efficiency and streamline administrative processes.
- Use registration and divisional software to maintain accurate and efficient daily operations.
- Assist the Registration Lead with front-office management and creating a welcoming, client-focused environment.
- Handle financial tasks related to enrollments and registrations with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Help develop and update content for the HTC website.
- Perform other duties to support the Registration team and other Units at HTC.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Two-year diploma in administration, computer science or related; no experience required; or equivalent as described.
Equivalency: Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of: one year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.
Assets
- Experience coordinating registrations, bookings, or event logistics.
- Strong client service and communication skills, to manage inquiries, resolve issues, handle tight deadlines, high-volume workload.
- Experience with databases and registration software (eg: 1GX, Innfinity, REACH).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams).
- Knowledge of Government of Alberta procedures and policies.

Notes
This is a temporary, full-time role with an end date of March 31, 2026, with the standard weekly work hours of 36.25, Monday to Friday. Accommodation may be provided for the duration of employment.
