Reporting to the Senior Manager, Service Delivery and Communications, the Strategic Integration Analyst has a division-wide focus requiring awareness of organizational objectives and priorities to ensure issues are addressed in a strategic, integrated, and consistent manner.
The position reflects the highest level of operational thinking with respect to tax legislation, policy, and practices. Working within multiple tax statutes and programs, the position must identify, analyze, evaluate, and formulate solutions for complex system and procedural problems that involve competing priorities and timelines.
The Strategic Integration Analyst ensures the appropriate level of organizational change management is planned, communicated, and executed for a wide range of complex organizational initiatives including strategic planning, project implementation, and operational improvements.
In this role, the Strategic Integration Analyst will:
- Promote intra-divisional collaboration; identify, influence and support opportunities for streamlining and standardizing processes across the division. Encourage sharing of information to promote consistency and reduce duplication of effort.
- Lead stakeholder engagements that are complex, integrated and involve multiple stakeholders and coordinate activities in accordance with the overarching strategic engagement and operational plans.
- Responsible for employing change management methodologies to maximize stakeholder adoption and minimize resistance.
- Provide expertise for the development and maintenance of integrated systems; promoting inter-branch cooperation to help ensure TRA's readiness and adaptability in respect of future challenges and opportunities.
- Work independently to determine solutions using research and well-established networks.

Qualifications
A university degree in Business or a related field plus 4 years of progressively responsible experience.
Equivalencies may be considered based on a one year experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.
Assets:
- Expert knowledge of tax and revenue programs administered by TRA and ability to apply and interpret their related complex legislation, regulations, and policies.
- Ability to lead and coordinate the work of multi-disciplinary project teams involving professional staff and other government departments to develop and implement strategic approaches.
- Experience in gathering user requirements, preparing business analysis documents and working with technical resources.
- Exceptional communication skills and developing collaborative working relationships.
- Strong project management experience (including understanding of the tools and phases of the project life cycle) to guide consultation activities and support complex tax assignment and time frames.
- Experience applying change management principles, processes and tools in an organization.

1 full time permanent position located in Edmonton.
Hours of work: 7.25 hours per day / 36.25 hours per week (Monday – Friday).
Candidates selected for interview may be asked to complete a written exercise as part of the assessment process.
