Senior Strategic Accommodation Advisor & Capital Planner – Program Services 3:
As a Senior Strategic Accommodation Advisor and Capital Planner, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to assess accommodation needs, identify space optimization opportunities, and develop cost-effective, innovative solutions. Your recommendations will be based on research and analysis, and you will lead project implementation in collaboration with clients, Infrastructure, and vendors. This role supports strategic capital planning to ensure space aligns with departmental goals and program delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple competing priorities, ensuring that physical space supports program delivery and operational efficiency.
- Conduct site visits across the province to evaluate existing space and oversee the implementation of various projects.
- Project budgeting and resource planning, ensuring projects are delivered within fiscal constraints.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagent, navigate complex interests, and maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Produce and assess technical documents and maintain accurate planning records using your expertise in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office applications, and SharePoint.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff and contribute to a collaborative, solutions-focused team environment.
- Support change management initiatives and demonstrate agility in navigating evolving organizational needs.
Junior Strategic Accommodation Advisor & Capital Planner – Program Services 2:
As the Junior Strategic Accommodation Advisor and Capital Planner, you will support the Accommodations team by providing technical, analytical, and consultative services related to ministry-occupied space. You will act as the main point of contact for facility-related services, addressing client requests and coordinating furniture needs and workspace configurations in compliance with government standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce schematic layout options and AutoCAD drawings for accommodation projects, with a focus on using recycled or re-purposed furniture to promote cost-effective and sustainable space utilization.
- Provide project support for Small Tenant Improvement (STI) initiatives – manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications.
- Maintain current floor plans, update furniture inventories, and prepare documentation to support accommodation initiatives.
- Perform in-depth research and analysis to develop strategic recommendations and continuous improvements to the space planning process.
- Coordinate staff moves and ensure smooth transitions through logistical planning and clear communication.

Qualifications
Senior Strategic Accommodation Advisor & Capital Planner – Program Services 3:
Minimum Requirements:
- University graduation from a related Bachelors program (i.e. Interior Design) plus 2 years related experience in accommodation planning.
- Experience working with AutoCAD.
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, as travel is a requirement of this role.
Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:
- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education
Asset: Demonstrated knowledge of technical aspects of accommodations (architectural, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, building codes, and ability to read floor plans).
Junior Strategic Accommodation Advisor & Capital Planner – Program Services 2:
Minimum Requirements:
- University graduation in a related field (i.e. Interior Design); no experience required.
- Experience working with AutoCAD.
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, as travel is a requirement of this role.
Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:
- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

These positions are temporary with the end date for the Senior position of March 31, 2027 and Junior position has an end date of April 30, 2027.
Hours of work: 36.25 hours per week, Monday – Friday
