Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Team Lead of Revenue Services, the Revenue Operations Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of GoA 1GX Revenue activity. These services include required 1GX billings postings, maintaining GoA post dated cheques, GoA cash deposits, GoA cheque deposits and E-release process, posting required general ledger or customer payments into the GoA financial system.
Revenue Operations Specialists provide services to the entire GoA and ensure timely and accurate receivable processing, while working closely with Ministries to resolve all discrepancies. In addition, Revenue Specialists are responsible to respond to any revenue related inquiries from Ministries and provide relevant guidance as to how Ministries can request Service Alberta Revenue Services processing. All Revenue Services activities are carried out to meet the standards of relevant acts, regulations, policies, and procedures. Focus and attention to detail are required for efficient and accurate payment processing.
The main responsibilities of this position include ( but not limited to):
- Validate and create GoA receivable 1GX documents.
- Review, maintain, and deposit Ministry post dated cheques.
- Deposit GoA cheque and cash payments.
- Conducts a thorough review and analysis of received requests to ensure mandatory fields are completed appropriately, accurately, and contain approval for audit purposes.
- Completes additional requirements for non standard revenue activity.
- Reviews customers in 1GX to confirm account numbers and outstanding receivables.
- Provide Ministries with deposit documentation as required.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- A general knowledge of accounting processes and requirements.
- Knowledge of GoA Ministry business processes.
- Extensive knowledge of accounts receivable procedures.
- Full working knowledge of the Financial Administration Act.
- Full working knowledge of 1GX Revenue module.
- Full working knowledge of deposits and cash handling policies.
- Knowledge of the FOIP act, as well as, all Cybersecurity policies.
- Proficient in the use of 1GX modules.

Qualifications
High school diploma and three years(3) of related experience.
Equivalency: Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of:
- one year of experience for one year of education or
- one year of education for one year of experience.
Required expert knowledge in:
- Accounts Receivable and billings processes.
- Investigation processes, and revenue policies.
- Use of Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
Assets
- Experience with 1GX or SAP modules.
- CIBC web portal.
- Previous Banking experience.

This position is located at the 8th Floor, John E. Brownlee Building, 10365 - 97 Street NW, Edmonton, AB.
We are hiring for one permanent position.
