The Ministry of Children and Family Services funds programs and services to support vulnerable children, youth, families, and individuals to live safely and succeed in Alberta. This includes providing services and resources to protect children and youth from abuse and neglect, and effectively address harm that has placed them in need of intervention. Mentoring and support services are available to youth transitioning into healthy, productive adults. The ministry also invests in community-based groups that support prevention and early intervention services such as Family Resource Networks, youth emergency shelters as well as programs that raise awareness and help respond to family violence, sexual violence, and abuse.

Role Responsibilities
Are you a strategic leader with passion for improving services for children, youth and families? The Ministry of Children and Family Services is seeking a dynamic Regional Contract Resource Senior Manager to lead procurement and contract management for the Edmonton region. This role is pivitol in ensuring the delivery of high quality, culturally responsive services through effective contract oversight and strategic planning.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of regional procurement strategies aligned with ministry priorities.
- Oversee procurement portfolio supporting child intervention services.
- Provide expert guidance to senior leadership on procurement planning, risk management, and continuous improvement.
- Supervise a multidisciplanry contract team and foster a collaborative, innovative work environment.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, policy, and Indigenous engagement frameworks.\
- Represent the region at provincial tables and collaborate with First Nations, service providers, and cross ministry partners.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have at a minimum a Bachelors degree in Business or related fields supplemented by six years experience in a related field.
Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.
Preference will be given to those who have:
- Extensive experience in procurement, contract management, and strategic planning
- Proven leadership in managing complex high value serce delivery contracts.
- Strong understanding of indigenous perspectives and culturally responsive service delivery.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with GoA systems

This position works 36.25 hours per week Monday to Friday and is located in Edmonton.
