Role Responsibilities
The Ministry of Primary and Preventative Health Services has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team!
Reporting to Executive Director, Health Professions Regulations and Physician Workforce, the Project Manager, Process Enhancements leads the coordination and delivery of complex projects and process improvement initiatives across the division. The role provides strategic project management support to divisional leadership, ensuring effective planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement.
This position manages multiple concurrent initiatives, drives operational and process enhancements, and ensures alignment with divisional priorities, policies, and government direction. Strong communication, coordination, and relationship-management skills are essential to support divisional leadership and deliver corporate and strategic initiatives.
This position will be responsible for the following duties:
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver multiple projects simultaneously for initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with approved scope, timelines, and priorities.
- Lead project teams and coordinate internal and external resources, including cross- Ministry partners, Boards, interest groups, and technical specialists.
- Develop and maintain project plans, documentation, reporting tools, portfolio dashboards to track progress, risks, and deliverables and report to senior leadership.
- Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs), support procurement activities, and participate in proposal evaluations.
- Collaborate with Executive Directors, Ministry leadership, and stakeholders to assess project requirements, develop functional programs, and support business cases and feasibility studies.
- Monitor and control project scope throughout the lifecycle, securing approvals for changes and ensuring impacts are assessed and documented.
- Review and improve project delivery processes using Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies, ensuring alignment with Ministry standards and guidelines.
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior leadership on project risks, process improvements, and delivery optimization.

Qualifications
Minimum Recruitment Standards
Requirements:
- University graduation in a related field plus 4 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.

Equivalencies: Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of:
- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
