Role
Reporting to the Director of Health Facilities Planning, the Project Manager of Governance (PMG) brings a depth of experience evaluating, developing, leading, planning, monitoring and implementing initiatives to update government and/or department policy documents related to health facilities capital program governance.
These initiatives will involve working with complex stakeholders and leading the ongoing updates of key tri-party documents such as the Health Facilities Capital Program Manual (Manual) utilized by Alberta Infrastructure, Alberta Health and Alberta Health Services (AHS) for the planning and delivery of the health capital program. This position works collaboratively with internal Alberta Infrastructure partners, other GOA partners (Alberta Health and AHS), consultants and other stakeholders to deliver initiatives related to health program delivery policy documents.
This role is also responsible for Secretariat functions on various leadership level health capital program delivery committees including both the Joint Steering and Joint Operations Committees.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing ongoing Secretariat duties for various monthly health program delivery tri-party committees
- Providing leadership and support to communicate, implement and monitor key initiatives related to updates in policy documents (key documents such as the Health Facilities Capital Program Manual)
- Overseeing tri-party policy document initiatives that improve health facility program planning and delivery integration among stakeholders (includes collaboration with other department branches, cross ministry committees and liaison with other Canadian jurisdictions for best practices and shared learnings)
- Provide project management expertise to issue and lead consultant contracts (RFPs), coordinate, monitor and report progress against strategy and project implementation plans involving multiple tri-party stakeholders
The results of this role support the Division and Health Capital Projects Delivery Branch as they make plans and decisions about strategic policy, planning and program delivery documents. These documents are shared with other provincial government ministries, other governments, service providers, community organizations and the public.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business, Public Administration or other related fields PLUS 4 years of related experience in leading initiatives in multi-agency environments with a wide range of stakeholders across organizations
Experience or knowledge that will be considered and asset:
- Experience in project management and/or leading consultant contracts
- Experience in identifying, leading and tracking strategic initiatives (which require large consultant contracts) to support programs and organizational goals
- Knowledge of committee structures and policy documents (the Manual, MOUs, health legislation and regulations etc.) related to health service delivery
- Experience in government goals and decision-making process and public consultation
Salary
$3,100.80 to $4,172.77 bi-weekly ($80,930 - $108,909/year).
