The Ministry of Public Safety and Emergency Services has significant oversight and involvement in the public security and emergency services through its various divisions and operations. The department is responsible for the administration of law enforcement, correctional services, policing and police oversight and public safety. The Ministry supports crime prevention and restorative justice programs, as well as programs and services to support victims of crime, including those affected by domestic violence and human trafficking. The Ministry also coordinates large scale emergency and disaster prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery programs and initiatives.

Role Responsibilities
Are you interested in working in a learning environment where you provide training support services? Do you have a demonstrated track record of efficient program administration while balancing multiple activities in fast paced environments?
The Program Administrator position is responsible for providing program delivery services for all training/courses provided by the Training Academy (TA) including but not limited to:
- Sheriff Recruit Training
- Correctional Services Induction Training – Adult/Youth and Community
- Community Peace Officer Induction Program
Program delivery services consist of proficient coordination of course information, registration and logistics to maximize the participant experience. This includes:
- Providing proactive service and support to the class sergeant throughout the course/program.
- Maintaining tracking systems (including a learning management system) as part of course administration, logistics, and participant training records.
- Applying working level technical skills with platforms and systems (M365, LMS, Adobe, student property management, virtual delivery platforms, etc.) to enhance service delivery
- Reserving and ensuring the training space meets the need in terms of size, set-up, necessary equipment, including virtual delivery requirements.
- Coordinating induction training graduation ceremonies; contacting dignitaries to participate; creating event briefing and program; preparing award letters and certificates.
- Using knowledge, experience and course administration expertise to identify opportunities for improvements.
- Providing exceptional customer service when responding to the TA’s general email, answering the main telephone line as well as with frontline reception.
- Support participant requests for certificates, letters, and general course information.

Qualifications
Required:
- A High School Diploma plus a minimum of 3 years of related administrative experience is required.
- Experience in program administration (administrative coordination, planning, event support, program support, etc.) is required.

- This position is required to work in office. (In person and located in Edmonton)
