As we expand Alberta’s economic corridors—connecting communities, powering industries, and opening access to national and global markets—your work will directly influence high-profile policies and decisions that shape the province’s long-term prosperity.

As a Policy Advisor in the Economic Corridors Operations unit, you will help shape Alberta’s approach to economic corridors by driving policy and engagement initiatives that support infrastructure, trade, and regional growth. Your work will inform strategic decisions at the highest levels of government, with broad-reaching effects on Alberta’s economic, social, and environmental success.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research, jurisdictional scans, and analysis to inform policy development and engagement strategies
  • Drafting briefing materials, Cabinet decision documents, presentations, and reports for executive and ministerial audiences
  • Supporting and coordinating project planning, risk assessments, evaluation plans, and monitoring activities
  • Developing communication strategies, key messages, and Q&A materials for public announcements and stakeholder outreach
  • Coordinating internal and external engagement efforts, including stakeholder logistics and consultation activities
  • Supporting cross-ministry working groups and committees to ensure policy alignment and representation of TEC priorities
  • Identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies to ensure effective policy implementation and stakeholder collaboration
  • Managing multiple, concurrent priorities and producing timely, high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Recruitment Standards

University graduation in a related field; no experience required; or equivalent as described below.; or equivalent as described below;

Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

  • 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
  • 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
