Role Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, the Planning and Performance Measurement Consultant provides leadership, coordination, development, facilitation and knowledge transfer related to the development and implementation of the ministry's planning, reporting and accountability processes. This includes the ministry's annual report; performance measures and control systems; environmental scans; submissions for the government's annual report ; system audits of the ministry's accountability processes; and government and cross-ministry accountability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Support the development of the ministry's annual report and ensure it aligns with the corresponding business plan and meets the associated reporting requirements under the
      Government's Fiscal Planning and Transparency Act and the annual report standards.
•    Support development of the ministry's performance measures and ensure alignment with the corresponding business plan and reporting requirements.
•    Develop the ministry's environmental scan.
•    Maintain effective relationships the branch, and ministry divisions in relation to ministry performance measures, business plan and the annual report.
•    Provide advice and consultation to clients and contacts regarding statistics, environmental scanning, performance measurement and accountability issues.

Qualifications

University graduation in a related field (e.g. Public Administration, Economics) plus 2 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below. 

Equivalency: 

Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of: 

•    1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 
•    1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

We are currently hiring for one full-time permanent position.

Hours of work are 36.25 hours/week.
