The Alberta Crown Prosecution Service (ACPS) prosecutes persons charged with Criminal Code, Youth Criminal Justice Act, and provincial statute offences. Role Responsibilities
Are you passionate about making a difference in mental health and wellness services? The Government of Alberta invites you to apply for the role of Mental Health & Wellness Cooordinator. Under the direction of the Director, Workforce Planning for Alberta Crown Prosecution Service (ACPS), the Mental Health & Wellness Coordinator will lead, direct, engage and administer mental health programming across the Division.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Manage the coordination, delivery and development of the Peer Support Program (PSP).
- Lead the delivery of The Working Mind (TWM) training across the Division.
- Laise with Wayfound to deliver Before Operational Stress Program to ACPS.
- Research and roll-out additional mental health and wellness initatives to support ACPS staff in the workplace.
- Collaborate with Disability Management team to assess cases of non-occupational and occupational illness and injuries.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Significant experience in managing supports for workplace trauma and mental health injuries.
- Knowledge of mental health resources and supports available in the community.
- Has a foundational knowledge of health and wellness concepts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of disability management and return to work practices and processes.
- Thorough working knowledge of all relevant legislation including Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Code and Employment Standards Act.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications
A University Degree in Mental Health, Nursing, education or directy relatable field, plus 4 years of progressively responsible related experience within mental health area; or equivalent as described below.
Equivalency:
Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of
- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

- Current Driver's License.
- Experience in the mental health field.
- Experience delivering training in the mental health field.
Assets:
- Experience leading teams and projects successfully.
For Degrees obtained outside Canada, proof of accreditation from the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) is required.

The Hours of Work are 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
