  • Contribute to the Ministry’s Red Tape Reduction work, including supporting the maintenance and review of regulatory requirement inventories, analyzing impacts of proposals, and identifying opportunities to reduce administrative burden.
  • Support contract and grant review processes, ensuring consistency with government requirements and facilitating coordination between program areas and Legal Services when needed.
  • Support ministry policy, legislative and regulatory development, including conducting research, drafting materials, and helping ensure policy intent is appropriately reflected in legislative instruments.
  • Coordinate cross ministry input and collaboration, responding to information requests, preparing briefing materials, and supporting project management activities.
  • Prepare high quality written products, such as briefing notes, correspondence, legislative drafting instructions, technical summaries, and presentations for senior officials.

This role works closely with program area staff, legal counsel, and cross government partners to ensure ministry initiatives are well supported, legally sound, and aligned with government processes and priorities.
