Alberta Infrastructure designs, builds, manages and maintains government-owned and operated facilities, and collaborates with other ministries to ensure that schools, hospitals and government facilities infrastructure meet the needs of Alberta’s population. The Ministry also provides accommodation services and manages a large portfolio 45,822 square metres of owned and leased facilities while maintaining fiscal accountability and optimizing value for Albertans.

Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Venue and Facilities Coordinator, the Facility and Client Support are the front-line staff interacting with clients utilizing the meeting room and conference facilities on the 10th and B-Level Floors of the Queen Elizabeth II Building. The focus of these positions is the provision of exceptional guest services for all stakeholders at booked events within the venue, and to support events from a catering and audiovisual perspective.
The primary responsibilities for the Facility and Client Support staff include (but are not limited to):
- Initial event set-up and take down as well as kitchen cleanup, which involves the preparation of hot and cold beverages, ensuring venues are appropriately stocked, supporting clients with audiovisual requirements and catering orders, and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen.
- Lifting coffee carafes, water jugs, kitchenware, catered food, and chafing dishes on and off of catering carts, and pushing/pulling the carts to and from the various meeting rooms.
- Cleaning the kitchen, putting away all food and beverages, and washing all dishes after each event.
- Providing support with audiovisual equipment setup (incumbent will be trained).
- Review event plans with clients as needed in advance of bookings and day of event to ensure everything proceeds as planned.
- Track and maintain an inventory of all food and beverage supplies, china, stemware, silverware, flatware etc.
- Support, improve, and promote the use of the meeting rooms and conference facilities through the provision of exceptional service.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- One year of related experience in the hospitality industry would be considered an asset
Required:
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word/Excel in particular).
- Demonstrated ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a time sensitive environment with limited supervision.

Notes
Hours of work: Work hours are dependent on event scheduling. Core business hours are between 7:00am - 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
