Role
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM), Financial Services and Senior Financial Officer (SFO), Affordability and Utilities, the Executive Director (ED) provides leadership within the Ministry to encourage an outcomes-oriented environment emphasizing strategic planning and performance measurement for continuous improvement in a complex environment. The ED works in close collaboration with Ministry executives and staff to develop, evaluate, and enhance processes that support system accountability.
Leading the Planning, Policy and Agency Governance Branch, the ED will provide a strategic lens to connect policy, program delivery, operations and measurement; oversee operations and ensure resources are managed effectively to provide mandated deliverables and value-added services; envision and capitalize on opportunities for continuous improvement; and mentor staff to enhance ministry and government capacity.
Qualifications
As Executive Director, you will bring significant related senior management experience and well-developed strengths in formulating strategy, negotiating policy, program management, and implementing complex projects.
You also have a broad knowledge of planning and reporting processes, as well as government and / or complex organizational structure and accountability processes. You have a strong track record in program evaluation, including expertise in evaluation methodologies, performance measurement, and continuous improvement. A strong understanding of government decision making, business plan goals, and the structure of government will provide you a strong foundation for this role.
Your experience navigating politically sensitive environments, where urgent, competing priorities demand innovative, precedent-setting solutions have honed your political acumen and strategic leadership will also be critical to your success in this role. An undergraduate degree is required.
Salary
$5,234.94 - $6,879.68 bi-weekly ($136,631 - $179,559 yearly)
