Role
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister of Lands, the Executive Director, Lands Policy and Programs will provide strategic direction and leadership to deliver lands policy and programs throughout the province, including management and development of public land, remediation, reclamation, brownfield redevelopment policy and legislation. You will administer the development of programs and grants focused on environmental outcomes associated with wetland replacement, watershed restoration and conservation.
You are a proven leader with a demonstrated ability on the policy side and you possess exceptional communication skills. Your collaborative style enables you to engage your staff and to keep them connected on various issues as it relates to policies and programs. You are able to lead, coach and mentor your staff to support their continual improvement and capacity development. With your seasoned talent, you manage complex issues and work with stakeholders to support their education and capacity building. This includes engaging with indigenous people on land issues.
Qualifications
You have significant experience in a senior leadership capacity and have managed and you have managed large teams. You have demonstrated experience in strategic and business planning, leading programs and grant management. You have strong communication and negotiation skills and an ability to interpret technical information to non-technical audiences. Your ability to develop strategic partnerships and working relationships with key stakeholder groups is crucial. A graduate degree and/or a degree with a combination of related experience is preferred.

Salary
$5,082.46 - $6,679.30 bi-weekly ($132,652- $174,329 yearly)
