Role
Reporting to the Deputy Minister, the Executive Director, Executive Operations serves as the primary point of contact for the Deputy Minister's Office (DMO). This role is a key liaison, providing strategic support, advice, and coordination between the ministry, the Minister's Office including the Minister's Chief of Staff, Executive Council, other ministry DMOs, and internal and external stakeholders. You will play a critical role in ensuring ministry initiatives align with government priorities and bridge the political and operational aspects of the ministry. Accountabilities include enabling integration of ministry priorities with those of other government departments, external agencies, and reporting entities as well as provide oversight of Missions Planning, Policy Integration/Coordination, Issues Management, and Ministerial Correspondence. Strong stakeholder relationships are essential for collaborative problem-solving and effective policy synchronization across the ministry.
Qualifications
Success in this role calls for a progressive leader with a background that includes significant related senior management leadership experience. As a respected leader with experience leading staff, you are committed to building strong lines of communication and trust, influencing leaders across the organization through demonstrated political acumen. You possess a strong understanding of strategic services, issues management and multi-faceted project coordination. You bring demonstrated experience understanding the energy sector, complex business issues and finding resolution as well as an ability to work effectively with complex stakeholders to manage diverse expectations and interests. Related post-secondary education is required, master’s preferred.
Salary
$5,234.94 - $6,879.68 bi-weekly ($136,631 - $179,559 annually)
