Role
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Data, Information and Privacy Services Division, the Executive Director, Enterprise Strategic Operations, is accountable for the enterprise intake, reporting, project management, training and outreach efforts to support Technology and Innovation as well as all Government of Alberta departments in delivering on IT related initiatives and projects that align with government priorities and operations. This position provides leadership, vision and leads the direction of Service Coordination that will enhance cross departments service delivery. This includes but is not limited to all providing strategic leadership on intake processes and decisions, coordinating administrative intake processes, enterprise training and development, enterprise outreach about information technology related work and operations.
This position interacts extensively with other divisions and ministries to improve the delivery of enhanced operations that support all departments, provides strategic advice and consultation, explains processes, challenges and mitigates issues. The Executive Director works very closely with the Executive Director of Engagement to support engagement and business relationship management with other departments.
The Executive Director translates ministry priorities into meaningful direction and plans for the branch. Pathways and networks are built and fostered across the department and Government of Alberta to enable the work of the branch. As a member of the Division Leadership Team, the Executive Director provides integrated plans and reports to shape division directions and achievements. Strategic advice and recommendations are provided to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Executive Team, Deputy Minister and government officials on matters related to branch business.
Qualifications
As a highly credible leader, you bring significant senior level management experience with proven success in IT leadership within a complex organization. You have advanced knowledge of government decision making processes, frameworks, and governance and possess exceptional project and operations management acumen. Additionally, you have demonstrated experience in leading large, complex cross-ministry or organizational-wide initiatives, with excellent advocacy, relationship building, and collaboration skills. As an influential leader, you have an extensive track record of developing relationships, leading teams and engaging with complex internal and external stakeholder. Experience providing advice and recommendations to executive leadership will round out your background. A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Salary
$5,758.44 to $7,567.65 bi-weekly ($150,295.28 - $197,515.67 annually)
