Role
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Court and Justice Services Division, the Executive Director, Court of King’s Bench Operations will provide strategic leadership which will be key in the planning and delivery of operational activities within the King’s Bench Operations. The Executive Director will focus on service excellence and will influence and develop ongoing evaluation of a standardized process model to meet the core needs of the department and will collaborate with the the courts, other justice divisions, the Digital Innovation Office, and other partners and stakeholders to help advance justice digital to deliver transformation initiatives to improve Alberta’s justice system. This role is key to delivering innovative, user-centered solutions that improve the efficiency, accessibility, and responsiveness of justice services. The Executive Director will be responsible for pursuing significant modernization of Alberta’s justice system and this transformation will not only improve service delivery but also generate significant cost savings and operational efficiencies for the government, the courts, and end users by collaborating with stakeholders in the judicial branch of the Court of King's Bench to develop and implement a provincial operational model and framework for court administration. The Executive Director will be a strategic leader and apply a visionary approach to digital innovation. This will be achieved through enhanced stakeholder engagement and a demonstrated commitment to public service excellence.
Qualifications
You are a collaborative and transformational leader with a proven track record in managing complex operations in a large, service-oriented organization. You have a solid understanding of the issues impacting court administrative services and you have a systems approach to developing processes that promote innovation and sustainability. You have a good understanding of the court process and demonstrated success in fostering partnerships across government. As a progressive leader, you facilitate organizational change, build capacity, and inspire excellence in your teams. Your expertise in fostering relationships with diverse stakeholders will aid in your success. Knowledge of federal and provincial regulations is preferred. A law degree is required for this role and good standing with the Law Society of Alberta.
Salary
$7,852.41- $10,319.52 bi-weekly ($204,947.90 / $269,339.47 annually)
