Role Responsibilities
The Director reports to the Executive Director, Policy and Evaluation and is responsible for:
- Leading a team of approximately ten employees that provides policy advice and analysis on labour market issues.
- Providing your expertise and advice on how to address new and emerging labour market issues.
- Overseeing the design of new labour market programs.
- Supporting the Minister and senior department officials in participating in intergovernmental conversations.
- Acting as a key contact for internal and external labour market stakeholders.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- University graduation in political science, economics, public administration or other related field.
- Seven years progressively responsible experience in policy development and/or economic analysis.
- Knowledge of labour market issues and trends.
- Experience delivering large complex projects.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
Asset Qualifications:
- Experience developing and delivering communication products.
- Experience in intergovernmental relations.
- Experience in leading and managing staff.

Notes
We are recruiting one full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday at 36.25 hours per week.
Work location is in Edmonton.
