Role
Classification Delivery Services is looking for a Classification Consultant to join our dynamic, results oriented team. As a Classification Consultant, your day will include meeting with Ministry clients and Human Resources (HR) professionals, evaluating a diverse portfolio of positions, and managing employee and client expectations to deliver high quality services. Consultants work to identify and assess issues and trends, and contribute to focused client solutions, best practices and outcomes.
As an integral member of the classification team, you will apply critical thinking skills when conducting research and analysis to ensure consistency in classifying both management and non-management positions across government. In this position, you will provide organization design support to HR professionals and ministry clients, and support the implementation of ministry wide job evaluation projects under the Team Lead.
This role will allow you to build on your job design, organizational design, and classification skillsets. The work environment is collaborative, supportive, inquisitive, studious, and fun-loving.

• Develop Networks – Proactively build networks and trust in relationships with stakeholders, which include HR generalists and HR policy, Ministry clients, and other cross-ministry contacts.
Qualifications
• University graduation in business, social sciences, or other related field with a focus on Human Resources.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience including HR consulting/advising, job evaluation, and/or organizational design is required.
• Demonstrated experience in applying a classification/job evaluation system is preferred.
• Experience in Government of Alberta classification systems is an asset.
• Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one-for-one basis with a minimum of a related certificate.

Salary
$2,524.91 to $3,462.47 bi-weekly ($65,900 to $90,370/annually)
Notes
We are filling one permanent position and one temporary salaried position with an end date of August 31, 2023.
This position will be based out of South Petroleum Plaza – 9915 - 108 Street, Edmonton, Alberta. We will consider other locations in Alberta.
Hours of work:
36.25 hours weekly
