The Common Service Delivery (CSD) branch holds expertise in delivery of centralized, citizen centered services, including contact center and benefit administration services. CSD delivers centralized services on behalf of other program areas within ALSS as well as other Ministries across the Government of Alberta.

As a Career Advisor, you will provide career, employment, and training information to Albertans over the phone. You will support clients across a range of topics, including occupations, training options, employment programs, job search strategies, and educational funding, helping them make informed career and education decisions. You will also conduct phone-based assessments to determine Feepayer eligibility.
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong communication, time management, assessment, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with provincial and federal career and employment programs and services will support a smooth transition into the position.

Qualifications
Two-year diploma in Social Sciences (Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology), no experience required. Equivalencies of related education or experience will be considered on the basis of:
- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
Preference will be given to applicants who have minimum of one year experience with social based programs, experience working as a career advisor, and working in a contact centre.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
