Role
Reporting to the Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General, you will provide strategic leadership and oversee the planning and policy development for administrative law programs such as SafeRoads, Alberta Human Rights Commission and Family Support Order Services. You will lead these programs ensuring a fair and equitable system improving accessibility, efficiency and affordability of justice services for Albertans. Your seasoned leadership and focus on service excellence will support your division team to ensure services follow procedural fairness, diversion of matters before courts and congruency between all three programs. You will provide expert advice and recommendations that will help to optimize justice services for Albertans. Collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders will be key to managing issues and enhancing justice services. As a member of the executive team, you will contribute to the achievement of ministry objectives and further the government’s corporate agenda.
Qualifications
Ideally your background includes related senior leadership and administrative justice experience with strengths in project management and a proven ability to direct programs in a complex multi-stakeholder environment. You are a recognized leader with exceptional communication, interpersonal, analytical and resource management skills. A consultative approach and skill in collaboration have supported you in establishing trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders. Experience working in government would be an asset.
Eligibility for membership in the Law Society of Alberta is required.
Salary
$8,144.11 -$10,688.21 bi-weekly
Notes
