Roles
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Primary and Preventative Health Care, the ED, Primary Care Transformation and Partnerships team’s responsibilities will include:
- Strategically leading primary care sector transformation through collaboration with other divisions, ministries, and external stakeholders to align decision-making process and achieve results.
- Leading the development and implementation of change management strategies, guidance and tools to support stakeholders through transition.
- Strategically overseeing partnerships and coordinated planning across the primary health care sector, the Government of Alberta, and key provincial and national health partners and leading the implementation and monitoring, and oversight of primary care programs, including grant management, stakeholder engagement, financial reporting and evaluations.
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Health and Well-Being System Transformation, the ED, System Transformation Strategy and Implementation team’s responsibilities will include:
- Creating a forward-looking strategic direction aligned to the division's transformation and improvement priorities, including improved outcomes for Albertans with complex needs.
- Strengthen oversight of shared services and procurement and to continue identifying opportunities to improve system design and service delivery as the transformed system matures.
Qualifications
These roles demand an influential and highly credible leader with extensive and diverse executive health management experience in complex multi-stakeholder environments. You bring excellence in systems planning, strategic thinking and branch planning skills, and a deep understanding government processes and decision-making. Your background also includes proven success partnering effectively with stakeholders on initiatives in dynamic environments to achieve system-wide results. Your experience working within the public sector has strengthened your political acumen, communication, and negotiation skills. You are known to build trusting, collaborative relationships with colleagues or stakeholder groups to identify solutions. You leverage strong system thinking and shared problem solving to remain open to innovative solutions and include others in ideation. An understanding of health system issues and priorities in Alberta and other jurisdictions is an asset.
Your ability to empower teams and influence innovation, combined with capacity for facilitating change will support your success. Your leadership style is resilient, collaborative, and nurtures continued growth of your team. A related degree is preferred, a Master’s degree is desirable.
Salary
$5,896.65 - $7,749.28 bi-weekly ($153,902.57 to $202,256.21 annually)
