This is a Temporary Short Term (6 -month) Opportunity.
Role
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Primary Care and Rural Health, you will lead the development and implementation of programs and program-level policy that advance the modernization of the primary care sector, incorporating preventative measures, innovative models of care including mobile and virtual as well as working across sectors. This role will lead the grant administration for primary care programming, program analysis on innovative primary care approaches, and build strong working relationships across multiple ministries and agencies to ensure an integrated health care system. Your excellent communication and influential skills will help create strong networks and relationships with stakeholders for improved primary care outcomes. You have experience leading strong teams accountable for grants or contract administration, policy analysis and policy development, and you demonstrate an understanding of government and department priorities.
Qualifications
This role requires a performance driven, influential leader with extensive related leadership experience in challenging multi-stakeholder environments. Your career reflects significant related senior leadership experience with proven strengths in health systems or primary health care delivery, policy development, multiple stakeholder engagement, managing complex issues and a collaborative and integrated approach to achieving corporate goals. Your background includes a demonstrated understanding of government structure and decision-making, legislative frameworks, financial accountability processes and policy development mechanisms. A practiced relationship builder, you excel at engaging stakeholders in shaping and implementing high impact initiatives. Your capacity to inspire and empower change-agile teams will support you in delivering on key objectives. An understanding of health system priorities, primary care delivery, and issues within the political, economic and global environment is essential to your success. A university degree is preferred.
Salary
$5,234.94 - $6,879.68 bi-weekly ($136,631 - $179,559 annually)
