Salary: $24.26 to $29.75 per hour

Wage Benefits:

In addition to regular wages, regular Wage employees receive 11.2% in lieu of benefits and vacation leave:
•    5.2 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays. 
•    6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of annual vacation pay.


In addition to the regular wages and the additional pay in lieu of benefits and vacation, regular wage employees are entitled to shift premium pay:
•    $3.25 per hour for weekends and holidays
•    $2.75 per hour for evenings

Hidden Valley Ski Resort is located in Cypress Hills Provincial Park, (also known as Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park). The Park spans the Southeast corner of Alberta and the Southwest corner of Saskatchewan. The unique landscape of the area contrasts the surrounding prairie landscapes, making it an exciting destination for winter recreation opportunities.

The Ski Resort is located on the Alberta side of the park, 10 minutes from the town site of Elkwater, AB and 40 minutes from Medicine Hat, AB.

Role Responsibilities

Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Cypress Hills Provincial Park (South Region) is looking for an Administration and Ticket Supervisor for the 2025 - 2026 winter season. The unique landscape of the area contrasts the surrounding prairie landscapes, making it an exciting destination for winter recreation opportunities.

Administration and Ticket Supervisor duties include, but are not limited to: 

•    Training and daily supervision of seasonal staff including conducting performance reviews and scheduling.
•    Coordinating daily tasks of the team and ensuring daily procedures are followed.
•    Reviewing staff timesheets for accuracy before submitting.
•    Creating and fostering an inclusive, positive work environment for all staff and visitors.
•    Reviewing and reconciling ski hill revenue.
•    Managing till floats, retail sales, inventory, orders, Point of Sales system, and vendor relations.
•    Managing invoices and tracking expenditures.
•    Daily opening tasks, closing tasks, and ensuring the ski hill is open to the public during scheduled hours of operation.
•    Ensuring excellent customer service and positive guest experiences; providing on-site concern management, troubleshooting, reporting, response and follow-up to customer complaints.
•    Learning and adhering to emergency protocols to support visitors and staff in emergencies.
•    Participating in and following Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures.
•    May be required to assist in various departments as needed.

Qualifications

Required: 
•    High School diploma and two years of related experience. 
•    Equivalencies will be considered based on one year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.

Additional Requirements:
•    Recognized current Standard First Aid Certificate.
•    Current CPR Level "C" Certificate / AED
•    Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent and 3-year Driver’s Abstract.

Assets:
•    Excellent customer service, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
•    Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. 
•    Well-developed organizational and time management skills.
•    Proficiency with computer programs, i.e. Microsoft Office and Adobe.
•    Retail and/or cash-handling experience and/or administration experience.
•    Customer service and point-of-sales experience strongly preferred.
•    Knowledge of Hidden Valley Ski Resort facilities.

Notes

Terms of employment:

•    Shifts are 8 hours a day, up to 40 hours a week.
•    Candidates must be willing to work weekends and holidays, varying start dates from October 2025, until April 2026, pending end of ski season and operational needs. 
•    Various low-cost accommodations are available for rent in Elkwater.
•    There is no public transportation to the Ski Resort, you must have reliable transportation to and from work. The Ski Resort is located about 10 minutes from Elkwater and about 40 minutes from Medicine Hat.


Any costs associated with obtaining required documents/checks as noted or interview travel expenses, will be the responsibility of the candidate. Out-of-province applicants can obtain the required documents/checks from the province they currently reside in.
