Employment and Financial Services (EFS) Division is responsible for policy development and delivery of employment and income services including contracted employment services, career resources, and the Income Support (IS) and Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) programs.
Role Responsibilities
Are you passionate about providing regulatory consultation and supporting staff in delivering vital services to Albertans with permanent disabilities? If so, we invite you to bring your leadership and expertise to the Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) program as a supervisor.
As a supervisor, you are a proactive leader responsible for offering guidance, support, and consultation to AISH Generalist staff. You will ensure that the AISH program is delivered in alignment with current legislation, guidelines, and policies.
Responsibilities Include:
- As the Supervisor, you will maintain overall responsibility for the delivery of the AISH program.
- You will provide leadership, direction, guidance, and consultation to a team of AISH Generalists to ensure that program benefits, information, problem resolution, and inquiry services are delivered to Albertans in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, accepted practices, and applicable legislation.
- You will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and guiding staff performance to ensure the highest standards of service are met.
- A strong focus will be placed on maintaining accountability, improving outcomes, and ensuring that services are delivered to Albertans in an efficient, effective, and compassionate manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills are essential for this role. Success in this position requires the ability to demonstrate flexibility, collaborate effectively, and manage time and priorities efficiently.

Qualifications
Requirements:
University graduation in Social Work plus one year progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.
Equivalency:
Directly related education or experience considered based on: ·
- Master of Social Work and some related experience ·
- Related university degree and 3 years related experience
- Related Diploma and 4 years related experience
- Related certificate and 5 years related experience

Assets
- An in-depth knowledge of all applicable legislation, regulations, policies criteria guidelines, processes and procedures, and master agreement.
- Demonstrates excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Previous Supervisory experience in a related field.
Notes
Hours of work are 36.25 weekly, Monday to Friday.This competition is used to fill one full-time Temporary position in central region (Wetaskiwin, Camrose, Lloydminster, Rocky Mountain House, Drayton Valley, Drumheller, and Red Deer).
