The Ministry of Energy and Minerals is responsible for sustaining the interests of Albertans through the stewardship and responsible development of energy and minerals resource systems.
The Business Services Branch strives to enhance the ministry's performance, transparency, and accountability by providing planning, reporting, and evaluation services to support the achievement of its objectives. It also coordinates and manages centralized services, while the Site Services Unit provides crucial administrative support and accommodation services, ensuring staff have the necessary requirements and workplace supports to deliver on their work.

Role Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive senior accommodations coordinator to support the daily operations of our Calgary office. This role ensures the smooth operation of accommodations, facilities, and central administrative functions for the Energy and Minerals staff.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Accommodations & Facilities Support: Oversee daily office accommodations, maintain stakeholder relationships, address facility-related concerns, and manage equipment contracts.
- Onboarding & Security: Facilitate onboarding for new employees, including set-up of new equipment, maintain accurate inventories, process security access requests, and conduct floor inspections.
- Tenant Improvements & Office Moves: Assist with office renovations, coordinate staff relocations, and track work orders for office improvements.
- Emergency Response: Support the Emergency Response Team, maintain the Process Assessment and Resumption Plan (PARP, act as an Evacuation Warden)
- Administrative Office Support: Provide reception, mail, and revenue collection support as needed, and liaise with the onsite ADMO office for Minister/Deputy Minister support, if required
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the office environment meets safety standards by conducting routine inspections and resolving hazards.
- Process Improvement & Documentation: Contribute to procedural manuals, process updates, and team meetings to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications
Minimum Recruitment Standard: High school diploma and three years of directly related experience in facilities management and administrative support.
Equivalency: Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of: one year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.
The following are considered Assets:
- Familiarity with in-house programs like 1GX, OPRA, OSSI, WORTs and CARS is an asset.
- Knowledgeable in administrative guidelines and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on client interaction.

This position is required to work from the on-site office location each day. There will not be an opportunity to do this work from a remote location or flex time.
