About Us
The Office of the Alberta Ombudsman is an independent office of the Alberta Legislative Assembly, responsible for responding to complaints of unfair treatment by provincial government authorities, municipalities, the Patient Concerns Resolution Process of Alberta Health Services, health professions, and other designated professional organizations under the Ombudsman Act.

Role
Reporting to the Director of Investigations, the manager will direct and manage a team of professional staff to ensure a high quality of complaint analysis, investigations, decisions and recommendations in accordance with the Ombudsman Act.
For success in the position, you must have experience in leading an investigative team. You also possess exceptional consultation, negotiation, and analytical skills and demonstrate complex problem-solving ability. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills including report-writing and interview experience are essential. You will have demonstrated ability to analyze government programs, legislation and policies.
Qualifications
A post-secondary degree supplemented with five years of investigative experience. Related experience or education equivalencies may be considered.
Ombudsman and/or Public Interest Commissioner investigation and management experience will be considered an asset.
Alberta Public Service Competencies

$3,806.46 – $5,122.39 Bi-Weekly
$99,349 – $ 133,694 Yearly
