The Business Technology Operations (BTO) branch creates, maintains, delivers and continually improves IT services consumed by clients. Role Responsibilities

If so, the ministry of Technology and Innovation has the perfect opportunity for you in our Testing Analyst role.
As a Testing Analyst, you will support quality assurance, user acceptance testing, system integration testing, performance testing, application security and privacy considerations, and test environment coordination. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders within the 1GX community to ensure business needs are understood and issues are resolved effectively.
Responsibilities:
Some of the responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Performing testing and quality assurance to ensure existing 1GX functionality is maintained and effectively utilized.
- Translating business requirements into clear, detailed test plans and scripts.
- Supporting the development of testing strategies and documentation for both project and operational needs, in collaboration with the vendor partners and internal teams.
- Assisting stakeholders (1GX users, Business Community, Service Managers) in identifying business impacts and ensuring needs are met. Soliciting feedback and promoting an agile, innovative, and collaborative transformation experience.
- Partnering with stakeholders to resolve issues related to engagement, adoption, sustainment, and improvement.
- Promoting best practices in security and privacy of personal information and data.
- Supporting the FIN/SCM and HCM/Payroll Managers and Excellence teams in testing issue resolution.
- Providing testing metrics to the Team Lead and Manager, 1GX Technology Excellence.
- Identifying and reporting trends that may indicate issues or failures.
- Supporting the Manager, 1GX Technology Excellence with briefings, responses, and recommendations.
As we advance our digital infrastructure, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation are becoming key components of modern testing practices.
While prior experience with AI is not required, we are seeking candidates who are: curious about new technologies, eager to learn AI-enhanced testing tools, and enthusiastic about automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement. In this role, AI may support automated testing, performance analysis, defect detection, and data-driven decision-making. Training and mentorship will be provided.

Qualifications
Required:
- University graduation in a related field such as Business, Commerce, Computer Sciences, Information Technology.
- No experience required.
Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:
- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
Assets:
- Experience in SAP / S4 Hana or other ERP applications such as SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, Kyriba, OpenText, etc. as listed below.
- Experience in the business domain within the relevant stream and of the business processes and practices within the stream (HCM, Payroll & Benefits, Finance and/or Supply Chain Management - SCM).
- Knowledge of and/or awareness of where to find the knowledge is considered an asset:
