Role

Reporting to the Deputy Minister, Public Service Commission, you will play a key leadership role in advancing human resource initiatives with a broad impact on the APS. This includes leading the delivery of strategic human resource advice and services to client ministry partners in the areas of strategic workforce planning and talent acquisition, while working collaboratively with other key areas of employee relations; occupational health and safety services; organizational design; and classification to ensure client needs are met. Working together with partners across the system, you will champion bold approaches that are client-centered, responsive, and solution-focused. You will engage with and provide critical strategic advice to senior government officials and committees. Demonstrated strengths in building high performing teams, partnerships, and an inspiring work environment will be essential for your success.
 

Qualifications

An accomplished and agile leader, your background includes extensive related executive management experience in a large, service-oriented organization. You have demonstrated expertise applying a systems focus to achieving results through both program and policy, and are recognized for your skill in collaborating and communicating with multiple stakeholders on complex issues. You have established a leadership record that reflects your commitment to staff engagement and a positive work culture. Your broad knowledge of human resource practices, across a number of areas such as talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee relations, occupational health, and safety services and organizational design, will support your success in this role.  A related degree is preferred.
 

Salary

$162,260 - $212,948 ($6,216.88 - $8,158.94 bi-weekly)
